See the calendar for details.
During this 6-week class series we will travel back in time to meet some famous/infamous women from ancient history, women with names like Jezebel and Eve, and nameless women like Lot's wife and Jepthath's daughter. These are women who made choices between knowledge and obedience, power and submission, risk and security. Even though the stories of these women were written in the margins they hold powerful messages for us today because, in truth, Biblical texts still affect all women in Western society.
"When a woman seriously asks herself what it means to be a woman she is pulling at a thread that can unravel an entire culture." Reinventing Eve by Kim Chernin
