Creativity is inextricably woven and intertwined with our spirituality and sexuality. When we lose our connection to creativity it shows up in a variety of ways. We feel caught, stuck, trapped. We lose our sense of imagination, possibility and adventure. It can feel hopeless, rather like the plodding circus elephant.
Setting creativity free always demands a price.
All the classes and workshops I design and teach focus on regaining creative freedom. Creativity is not just about art; it's about life and living life as a work of art. During these classes we've made collages, read poetry, colored, created books and completed all sorts of inventive projects. We've been inspired to quit jobs, change careers, buy and sell houses, write songs and compose music, make videos, bake cakes and travel to foreign countries.
Lasting friendships and connections are formed. Creative adventures are embarked upon. Dreams are manifested. It can truly change and quite possibly save your life. I say this with all the confidence of having led the groups for more than 20 years.
