Women's Dark Moon Wisdom Event: When Women Remember Their Names
When Women Remember Their NamesA Women's Dark Moon Wisdom Event
May 9th from 1-4pm in Portland, OR There is power in a word used as a name. Men in their own voice, using their own language and from their own perspective have written much of history. Women have been silenced. Their stories sidelined, written as footnotes, assigned to the margins or forgotten altogether. To be nameless is to not know who you are, and when you don't know who you are, it is almost impossible to have a voice. What's possible when we remember who we are? |
An event that will change the way you feel about yourself as a woman.
Saturday May 9, 2015 1-4 pm Cost: $33 There is power in a word used as a name.
We can only remember who we are from a place of hunger, from a place of being willing to be hungry for and to eat what has been forbidden to us, self-knowledge. Women of the Always invites you to join us as we explore the topic of names and naming, not only for ourselves but for all the future generations of women. What's possible when we remember who we are? Stimulating conversation, controversial discussion, truth telling with integrity, tears and laughter in a safe circle of women.
