Skeletons and bare trees in winter are great symbols for endings as they represent being striped down to the elemental structure of things.
Exploring our feelings and thoughts around bones and skeletons can be difficult or emotional.
These feelings are connected to our feelings around death and endings.
Bare trees are also skeletons. They are visible evidence of the endless cycles of life.

For our ancestors, the hearth was a liminal space, an in between space, a threshold. The hearth provided an opening or passage between the outside and the inside and in some traditions such as the Celtic, the hearth was the place where the ancestors came and made themselves visible or felt.

What do you believe about mirrors? What do they reflect? Is your reflection in a mirror a memory? Are you looking back, or are you peering into the future? Or both?

Wisdom From The Cave series is part of Women of the Always

A Woman of the Always stands as sovereign in the center of her own life.
A Woman of the Always is afraid at times but refuses to live life from the place of fear.
Are you a Woman of the Always?
Are you ready for an adventure, for something to shift, to be different?
Nothing will change in your life unless you're willing to change first.

Women of the Always is a gathering of women sharing an ongoing adventure, a wandering, traveling tribe of vagabonds, pilgrims, and rogues, exploring what's possible when we remember who we are.
Women of the Always is an ongoing adventure, an invitation to embark on a journey of self-inquiry, exploring challenging and possibly disturbing, controversial topics, asking thought-provoking, revelatory questions, being surprised at times by the answers.
Women of the Always is an exploration that requires you dig deeply into the fertile soil of timeless earth wisdom where creativity, spirituality and sexuality are firmly rooted in the cycles of nature and the cycles of the female body.

The Mystery Of Our Spirituality
  • we refuse to be a part of patriarchal, misogynist religions and spiritual practices
  • we refuse to live in a relationship, work at a job or stay in a religion or organization that is abusive and demands submission
  • we do not need a savior nor do we need to be saved
  • we are not sinful, defective, unclean
  • we honor the balance of the female and male and remember that life and death come forth from the female
