Witches, Runes And The Nornir
$99 for a series of 3 in person gatherings
Sellwood dates and times: Thursdays from 7:15-8:45
April 20, 27 and May 4
Inner SE dates and times: Wednesdays from 7:00-8:30
May 17, 24 and 31
Week One
We wander around the world of witch: the word, the history, the commercialization, crystals, candles, wands and symbols, costuming and the shock factor.
Week Two
We look at runes as symbols, tools for magic and divination, and the ill-advised belief that we humans can somehow call upon the gods, rune beings and other unseen ones to do our bidding without being willing to pay a price.
Week Three
We meet the Nornir, a complex, shadowy group of beings connected with fate, birth, and death. Present in Norse mythology, they are said to dwell in the dark realms of roots and wells.
