The last year I was beautiful I forgot the rules and walked across the 'Do Not Walk On The Grass' grass.
I started drinking Scotch at dawn and told my mother what I really thought about powdered milk and head lice and removed the bars of soap from all the bathrooms so I could swear. The last year I was beautiful I stopped pretending I liked tidy drawers and I wore socks that didn't match and underwear with holes so they'd all be shocked when I wrecked my marriage, not my car. And all the Brother Goodfellows and Sisters Uptight in the Kingdom Hall gasped at my irreverence and slithered away so they could hide under rocks that were the tablets of stone, shattered by Moses. I laughed out loud at funerals to celebrate the all of life and danced naked on the graves of the should and should not and the have and have not and it all began and ended the moment I stuck a pin in the illusion and let the hot air escape with a hiss and a backward movement, out of control around the room that had been drawn with lines I had already colored outside of.

There's an old parable that goes like this:
Late one evening a man who was walking home found his neighbor down on his hands and knees apparently searching for something in a very small area around a street lamp. Sensing his distress, the man asked his neighbor if he could be of any help. The neighbor said, "Yes. Please. I seemed to have lost my keys. Would you help me search for them?" After quite a while of searching, the man finally asked, "Are you sure you lost them here?" "No", the neighbor replied. "I lost them someplace else." Surprised, the man questioned, "Then why are you looking for them under the street lamp?" The answer, "Because this is where the light is." Do you suffer from the street lamp effect? Do you search for things only in the light? Do you search by looking where it is the easiest? The spiritual wisdom that has been lost to us, our connection with the ancestors, our connection with the earth, the land, our bodies, nature, cannot be found in the light. In fact, in many instances, we are actually blinded by the light of enlightenment. To find our way back to our ancient wisdom we must look in the dark, go deep into the roots of the World Tree, and peer into the dark waters of the Sacred Well. We must find our way back to the darkness of the womb of the sacred mother and remember that the stars are only tiny pinpoints of light in the vast darkness of the void, the place of creation. To find what has been lost we must go into the darkness of our own inner wisdom using the power of the Kenaz rune to guide us without the need of light. Contact Email Three Rare Celestial Events Super Moon • Solar Eclipse • Spring Equinox This Friday, March 20 we will experience a Super Moon, a Solar Eclipse and Spring Equinox, three rare celestial events all happening at the same time. But the Super Moon won't look like the one above. Why? Because it's a Black or Dark Super Moon which means it will appear in the sky only as a dark spot. But it's for this very reason that the Solar Eclipse could happen.
Here’s a brief, unscientific explanation followed by some questions you can ponder. Super Moon is a term used to describe the moon when it passes closest to the earth in its elliptical orbit. It can be either a full moon or a dark moon. When it’s full it gives the appearance of being much bigger than usual. But the super moon on March 20 is a dark moon, so it won’t be visible. But we will still feel its powerful presence by the way it affects all water on the earth, the ocean’s tides as well as our bodies. A Solar Eclipse can only happen when the moon is dark. The moon will pass between the earth and the sun completely blocking the sun from view. Spring Equinox marks the halfway point between Winter Solstice and Summer Solstice. It’s a tipping point when day is equal to night and once it’s reached in spring, the days begin to grow longer. What happens in the heavens does affect what happens here on earth and what happens here on earth affects each and every one of us. Some things are easy to notice and pay attention to. Others are not. What’s happening for you at this time when the Super Moon causes a Solar Eclipse at Spring Equinox? How can you experience living a life that is more connected to nature, to the seasons, to the cycles and rhythms of the earth? Spring Equinox has always been a time of celebration of new life and the joyful coming of spring. Eclipses in ancient times were commonly feared and considered bad omens. Extreme tides could often be dangerous. How might these things be reflected in the life you’re living right now? What in your life feels like it’s reached a halfway point? What is being eclipsed and can you find some respite in that moment? What is pulling on you like a super moon, perhaps resulting in emotions that feel tidal?
